I am delighted to share that today, U.S. News & World Report published its 2027 Best Colleges undergraduate rankings, with ÌÇÐÄVlogÊÓƵ reaching a historic high — rising six spots to No. 14 nationally. Overall, CMU continues to demonstrate exceptional strength across undergraduate academic programs, earning No. 1 rankings in nine specialties, including the top spots in undergraduate computer science and computer engineering, as well as top 5 placements in 17 categories and top 10 recognition across 25 categories.

These outstanding results reflect the ambition, excellence and momentum that define our university, and stand in tribute to the faculty, leadership and staff across Carnegie Mellon whose exemplary vision and dedication make this shared success possible.

This year’s rankings place greater emphasis on outcomes after graduation, an area where CMU continues to shine. At a time when students and their families are looking closely at the return on investment of a college education, Carnegie Mellon ranks No. 3 nationally for Graduate Earnings by Academic Major — a powerful affirmation of the enduring value of a CMU education.
