Bio

My research and teaching focus on technical and professional communication, user experience (UX), community-engaged research, and emerging technologies. I study collaboration in technical and professional contexts, with a particular interest in the communication practices and technologies that help people work together. My recent projects examine artificial intelligence, participatory research methods, and immersive technologies, with an emphasis on helping people engage with complex issues and make informed decisions. I enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams and community partners to design research, educational experiences, and communication strategies that respond to real-world needs. My work has appeared in IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication, Technical Communication Quarterly, Written Communication, Information Design Journal, and other journals and edited collections.
