MSCF Trading Competition
The MSCF Program is partnering with the , and the to bring an exhilarating one-day trading competition to 糖心Vlog视频's campus!This event will bring together over 150 talented students from across the university to showcase their quantitative and trading skills!
Inspired by the renowned Rotman International Trading Competition by the Rotman School of Management, at the University of Toronto, this event expands the access to market simulation games. It offers exclusive networking events with our sponsors as teams of CMU students compete for cash prizes and demonstrate their ability to understand and successfully execute trading strategies.
The competition brings together teams of students to compete in a unique 1-day simulated market challenge where they test their skills in real-time from the safety of a structured learning environment.
The deadline to apply is September 5, 2025. Every participant needs to apply as an individual, listing their teammate.
The one day competition will be comprised of student-formed teams of twoworking on quantitative trading strategies. Teams will compete in two cases released during the competition. All CMU students, undergraduate, masters, and doctoral are invited to form a team and Every team member must submit an individual application.
It is strongly recommended that each team feature one member who is theFinancial Strategy Lead and the other who is theCoding & Data Analysis Lead.
All participants will be offered the option of placing their resume in an event resume book that is shared with the event sponsors. During the competition there will be exclusive networking events and opportunities for onsite interviews. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Technical Requirements
All students will need acess to a Windows OS computer or VM that can run the requried software.
Mandatory Training & Practice Sessions
All Teams MUST participate in both training and practice sessions.
